2021, another record breaking year for PKF Smith Cooper Systems

Local Software Business enjoys spectacular growth and unprecedented positive activity in 2021

Multi Award-winning Sage 200 business partner, PKF Smith Cooper Systems, part of the national accountancy firm PKF Smith Cooper Group, is celebrating a year of spectacular growth and unprecedented positive activity. This past year has seen them increase their customer base by 20% and staff head count by an incredible 50%.

This amazing expansion was underpinned by three successful acquisitions with the company acquiring the Sage business of Price Bailey LLP, Cellular Solutions Ltd and Sci-Net Ltd within a 4 month period across the Summer.

In addition to this, despite the ongoing fluid business climate in the UK due to Brexit and Covid-19, the company also continues to press forward with organic success; seeing business from both new and existing clients achieve double digit growth.

The company specializes in Sage 200 and Sage Intacct and provides a full range of software support services to clients all over the UK from their offices in Newcastle, Reading, London and of course the head office in Derby.

As well as their commercial success, the company have also been busy in other areas of the business. They have made a significant investment in a best in class, cloud, phone system, doubled the size of their Newcastle office, created a whole new client services function and also completed a full re-branding exercise on the back of their parent company, PKF Smith Cooper, joining the PKF network of companies.

Our policy on acquisitions is about doing the right deals at the right time, so we can manage the client transitions properly without compromising our existing operation. Not only have we acquired a great group of new clients this year, but we have also been delighted to welcome some amazing new staff who have fitted in superbly to our already excellent team.

I firmly believe that expansion for expansion’s sake is pointless, so we have also made some major investments in our companies systems and infrastructure and will continue to do so in the new year.

I am very excited by what the new year holds in store for the business as we move into this next phase of our development. I have promised the team that we will have a quieter year… but then we might not!”
