Marketing Manager

Julie is a skilled marketing professional with a First-Class Honours degree in International Business and French. Julie’s knowledge and understanding spans across various industries, including Accountancy, IT, Legal, Automotive, and Healthcare, giving her an expansive understanding of her customers. Julie combines strategic marketing insight with commercial insight to deliver authentic, audience-focused campaigns. Her belief in customer-driven marketing underpins her approach to creating meaningful connections and solutions. A former international hockey player for Wales and Great Britain U23s, Julie continues to play in the Premier League, bringing the same experience, energy and teamwork to her professional life.

How did your journey with us start?

I saw the job advertised and thought why not go for it! When interviewing for this position, I met with Chris (now my boss) and I immediately got a sense of the company’s ethos (‘The Good Guys to Deal With’), not just in the work they do, but the people themselves. I knew this was a company I wanted to be a part of and so I was extremely happy when I got the phone call telling me I got the role. I dived straight in in my first week and supported their in-person event at Reading, and I’ve been constantly busy ever since!

What is your role and what does your day-to-day look like?

My role as a Marketing Manager means that no two days are the same. I manage a brilliant marketing team and certainly have my fingers in lots of pies! From organising company socials, events and webinars to customer success initiatives, campaign execution and inter-department meetings there’s always plenty to get stuck into. It’s a fast-moving role but it’s so exciting.

What’s your favourite PKF SCS memory?

There’s quite a few to choose from! I’d have to say winning Sage’s UKI Customer Partner Success of the Year Award in 2023 was pretty up there. It felt amazing to know that this award covered so much of what we all do at the company, and so to be a part of it and have contributed to it felt really rewarding. The following year, we also won Sage’s UKI BMI Partner of the Year 2024. Plus the company socials are always good fun!

What are you most excited about in our future?

I’m excited to keep pushing the boundaries and contributing to the success of PKF SCS! We’re already looking to raise our goals, and I want to keep helping us reach and exceed them. Marketing is always supported and highly valued at this company – you’d be surprised at how many companies don’t – and so that helps us to be able to be creative and execute these campaigns and all the marketing activities we do to keep PKF SCS at the top.
