What’s New in Sage Intacct 2026 R1?
The first release of the year, Sage Intacct 2026 R1, is here!
It’s packed with enhancements designed to help you accelerate decision-making, maximise time savings and improve accuracy.
We’ve pulled together all the main highlights into one place for your convenience, read on to find out what’s new.
GL Account Reconciliation
This feature streamlines your reconciliation process by providing a clear and organised way to match offsetting debit and credit lines.
Instead of scanning long lists of posted entries, you can quickly pair the lines that belong together and filter out what’s already matched, making it easier to focus on unmatched transactions. Matching history is also captured as you go, maintaining a clear audit trail.

AP Automation: Line-Level Matching
New line-level matching in AP Automation helps you match supplier invoices and automate transaction processing with more precision.
It uses AI to automatically match Supplier Invoice lines to the source Purchasing transaction, populate line items using data from the Supplier Invoice and flag any price or quantity discrepancies for your review.
This strengthens your purchasing process with 3-way matching, fast detection of discrepancies and less manual effort.
AI-Powered Import Agent
A new and improved AI-powered import agent allows you to transform, map and clean up your data using natural language prompts. Simply describe the changes you want to see and let the AI agent do the heavy lifting, no more manual data cleaning.
With instant previews, you can ensure data is correct and accept or rollback changes before the data is imported into Sage Intacct, without having to go back to Excel.
More complex mapping scenarios, such as splitting or combining fields or mapping one source field to multiple targets is easy and can be done all within Sage Intacct.

Sage Intacct Data Cloud
Gives your team secure, direct access to your Sage Intacct data in Snowflake to support integrations with business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
Customer Billing Groups & Common Charges
Billing groups brings a new way to streamline billing by allowing you to group customers who share a billing cycle.
This enables you to manage billing at the group level, set up one-time or recurring common charges and automate invoice generation in one place. Grouping customers together saves time and ensures updates are applied consistently.
Before invoicing, you can preview group billing activity, check it for accuracy, and then fast-forward invoice production.

Construction
These features are only available with the Construction subscription:
Work Order Dimension
The new Work Order dimension is designed to help you track Work Orders in Sage Intacct. As a standard dimension, Work Order can be referenced on transactions and posted through to the General Ledger, for consistent tracking and clearer reporting. This enhancement is ideal for teams managing a high volume of shorter duration jobs.
Flexible Retainage Release
With this new feature, you can now release supplier retainage across all AR sales invoice lines directly from the primary document, so you don’t have to jump between records or take extra steps. When it’s time to release, you can apply a percentage release across all related invoices, avoiding line-by-line admin.
Manage Projects
Updating projects one at a time slows teams down, especially when you’re managing a long list of projects.
The new Manage Projects feature allows you to quickly filter and select the projects you want to change, then simply enter a new field value to mass update several at once. This helps streamline common tasks, like year-end project close out activities.

Fixed Assets Management
There are 3 new enhancements for Fixed Assets Management:
Manage Construction in Progress (CIP) Assets
Now supports end-to-end CIP asset acquisition, tracking and capitalisation. AP purchase invoices and AR sales invoices coded to CIP GL accounts can automatically create CIP assets and track spend.
This allows you to manage long-term capital projects, such as buildings, infrastructure or custom equipment, directly in Sage Intacct. If you’re subscribed to Projects, you can now link a project to a CIP asset for faster data entry and automatically place the asset in service once the project is complete.
Update asset cost using AP adjustments
You can now adjust asset costs directly from an AP adjustment, making it easier to make changes due to capital improvements, revaluation or earlier errors. When posted, future depreciation is automatically recalculated to align with the updated cost.
Roll Forward report
New report provides a complete view of asset lifecycle changes across periods, helping teams reconcile fixed assets between the Subledger and General Ledger.
