Encryption
Sage Intacct protects your data with industry-leading encryption techniques. It uses at least 128-bit encryption, such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL/TLS) or Internet Protocol Security (IPSEC), when in transit and one-way hashes, truncation or strong cryptography for encryption at rest.
Continuous Monitoring
Cyber criminals could stike at any time, but Sage Intacct has the powerful duo to stop them. A dedicated cyber defence team with global coverage, coupled with 24/7 system monitoring, work together to detect, investigate, and respond to potential threats.
Backups and Disaster Recovery
Sage Intacct operates a Data Recovery Process, that covers both back-up and restore procedures for customer data. They have a Restore Point Objective (RPO) of no more than 4 hours – meaning this is the maximum amount of data that can be lost after a recovery from a disaster, and they aim to restore your data in no more than 24 hours.
Patching & Updates
Cyber threats constantly evolve, so Sage actively looks out for new and emerging threats, responding with daily vulnerability management and patching. Any updates are automatically applied to your system without any downtime or additional costs, so you’re always protected.
Audit and Compliance

You can set up 2FA in Sage Intacct by going to Account Management and selecting the two factor authentication option. You’ll also need a mobile device to hand.

Sage Intacct stores customer data within leading cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
Is Sage Intacct data encrypted?
Yes, Sage Intacct encrypts all data sent to and from the platform using at least 128-bit encryption while data is in transit. It also protects stored data using Triple-DES 128-bit or AES-256 block-level storage encryption.
How is Sage Intacct backed up?
Sage Intacct automatically performs transaction log backups and daily data backups. It stores backup data in redundant local storage which is periodically replicated offsite for additional protection.
