Prior to this project, Gold Care Homes used Sage 50 for over 10 years. However, due to growth and expansion, they started to experience issues with speed, performance and manual processes, so they decided it was time to move to a cloud-based solution.
Migrating to Sage Intacct has provided them with a scalable cloud platform that addresses their immediate issues, while supporting the business with long-term growth plans.
Gold Care Homes runs care homes all over the UK which cater for a range of different care needs, including residential, nursing and dementia care. As an award-winning family owned and run organisation they are dedicated to enhancing the lives of their residents.
From the start we took the time to understand their future plans, current needs and key requirements. Sage Intacct Consultants, Ian Barbour and Haris Naeem, worked closely with Vivek and the team to meet their requirements. For example, accurate reporting and consolidation was a key requirement, as the finance team need to ensure that the correct information is accessible and reported to their regional managers.
Additionally, Gold Care Homes had experienced recent growth and planned to expand more in the future, so it was clear that Sage Intacct’s multi-entity management would be useful to help them manage all their entities and care homes in one place.
The team at Gold Care Homes looked at numerous solutions to aid their business expansion. PKF Smith Cooper Systems and Sage Intacct was the right team who could show and prove a solution for their pain points. This, coupled with the fact that Gold Care Homes were already confident in Sage solutions, made Sage Intacct the natural choice.
By implementing Sage Intacct, Gold Care Homes are benefiting from improved performance, more advanced features and the ability to access the system from anywhere.
Additionally, when new care homes are introduced, the company can now quickly add the new entity or location themselves, reducing bottlenecks. Maintaining the theme of efficiency, they no longer have to spend their time manually consolidating in Excel and posting to each company, as Sage Intacct can automate this for them.
All their reporting is now driven from Sage Intacct, and the use of Dimensions and Dimension Groups help deliver real-time reports by Home, Company & Region. These easy-to-use reporting and dashboard tools help them be more self-sufficient in creating and amending their reports.
The benefits of Sage Intacct extend beyond the financials, as they can now include non-financial data, such as beds and occupancy, in their reports and dashboards.
With the future in mind, we’re working on more phases of the Sage Intacct project, including implementation of an AP Automation tool, where Sage Intacct will deliver further time saving and efficiencies for Gold Care Homes.
