Who are Gold Care Homes?
Gold Care Homes offers care for a range of different health needs using an individualised approach. As an award-winning family owned and run organisation they are dedicated to enhancing the lives of their residents.
The business has been a Sage 50 customer for over 10 years. Due to recent expansion following the acquisition of new care homes, they realised that a cloud-based solution, like Sage Intacct, would be needed to address their immediate issues and provide a scalable platform that could support the business through the longer-term growth plans.
Project Background
Gold Care homes came to us as Sage 50 customer. Their primary concerns revolved around the large volume of data they managed which led to speed and performance issues. Furthermore, they faced challenges with manual processes, consolidating multiple entities and reporting. These present issues, combined with growth aspirations, were the reason why Vivek Goradia, Finance Director, and his team decided to migrate from Sage 50.
The Project
From the start we took the time to understand their future plans, current needs and key requirements. Consultants, Ian Barbour and Haris Naeem, worked closely with Vivek and the team to meet their requirements such as reporting, as the team at Gold Care Homes need to ensure that the correct information is accessible and reported to their regional managers. Additionally, Gold Care Homes made it extremely clear that they had experienced recent growth and would continue to do so, thus it was clear to see that Sage Intacct’s multi-entity management would be key in the business’s care home management across different entities within the business.
The team at Gold Care Homes looked numerous solutions to aid their business expansion. PKF Smith Cooper Systems combined with Sage Intacct was the right team who could show and prove a solution for their pain points. This, coupled with the fact that Gold Care Homes were already confident in Sage solutions, made Sage Intacct the natural choice.
End Result and looking forwards
By implementing Sage Intacct, Gold Care Homes are benefiting from improved performance and ability to access the system from anywhere and a lot more. Director of Finance, Vivek Goradia, commented that “It has really been great project work with yourselves and team at PKF SCS”.
Additionally, when new care homes are introduced, the company can now simply and quickly add the new entity or location themselves, reducing their productivity bottlenecks. Maintaining the theme of efficiency, Gold Care Homes no longer have to spend their time manually consolidating in excel and posting to each company
In the name of improving business processes and productivity, reporting is now all driven from Sage Intacct; the use of Dimensions and Dimension Groups deliver real time reports on Home, Companies & Regions. These easy-to-use reporting and dashboard tools means that Gold Care Homes are now self-sufficient in creating and amending their reports.
The benefits of Sage Intacct extend beyond the financials as Gold Care Homes have been able to incorporate non-financial data, such as beds and occupancy, into Sage Intacct to add to their KPI reports and dashboards.
With the future in mind, Vivek and PKF Smith Cooper Systems are working on more phases of the Sage Intacct project, this includes implementation of an AP Automation solution where Intacct will deliver further time saving and efficiencies for Gold Care Homes.
