Discover the Multiple Routes and Components Lists in Cim 200 Manufacturing
Cim 200 Manufacturing allows you to create multiple routes for built items. This is useful if you are manufacturing products at different locations, which have specialised staff or equipment only available when items are built in certain locations.
In this Tip of the Week, we explore the multiple routes and components lists within Cim 200 Manufacturing.

Multiple Routes in Cim 200 Manufacturing
There are various ways you might be able to manufacture your products. For example, simply put, if the end product was to make a cup of coffee, there are various ways you could create this. One way could be to make the cup of coffee in your work office, which has a top-of-the-line coffee machine and requires a different processing route to making the cup of coffee at home.

Cim 200 Manufacturing differs from alternative manufacturing solution, Sicon Manufacturing, as this only allows one act of Bill of Material at a time. In Cim 200 Manufacturing, multiple routes and components lists are added to Bills of Materials.
For example, in Cim 200 Manufacturing, a product such as a kitchen can be built in one of two ways. The first is the default route, which consist of cutting, assembly and packing.
The second route is a non-assembly route, which only includes cutting and packing.

There is also the option to add a secondary component list for your built item. The default component list has many stock items associated with it. The simple build only includes a few materials, such as cabinets and fixings.
When creating a new works order for the kitchen example, you have the option to select which route, and which component list is used for this works order.
