PKF SCS Expands Project Management Team

After a diverse career spanning across areas including speech and language therapy, database administration and IT support, in September 2022, Janey-Mae joined a Sage Business Partner to work in project management. This role was varied, seeing her manage a Sage support team, lead various projects, and handle key customer accounts.

This experience has given her a drive to advance in project management, which she’s excited to channel her efforts into in a concentrated role at PKF SCS.

Janey-Mae is also looking forward to an improved work-life balance stemming from the fulfilment of pursuing a career she’s passionate about.

In terms of what she enjoys most about her area of work, she says:

“I love the idea of building strong relationships with team members and stakeholders and creating a positive, collaborative atmosphere. Plus, I can’t wait to put my problem-solving skills to the test to tackle any challenges that come my way.”

Though juggling a career and three children doesn’t leave much time for hobbies, Janey-Mae is a big fan of the outdoors, especially the beach.

She’s also interested in Scandi and Nordic interior design and takes any opportunity to attend live music performances when they arise.

And for some final fun facts – Janey-Mae’s double-barrel name has been shortened by her friends to “Jam” so often that it’s now a running joke. So much so, that you’ll even find it is as part of her car’s number plate!

Additionally, Janey-Mae’s South African background means you might notice a slight variation in her pronunciation of certain words. However, there are some words she simply refuses to change — ‘yoghurt’ being one of them!
