Meet Our New Team Member, Andrew Shippen
Andrew has previously worked at Sage on the Support Team, working with Sage 50, Payroll and Sage 200. During this time, his role was primarily around Report Designer support and Sage’s Report Design service.
After this, Andrew stepped into the world of consultancy with a Sage Business Partner, dealing with all of the core Sage 200 modules, including Sage Manufacturing, Sicon Manufacturing & Sicon Barcoding.
More recently, Andrew worked at Sicon, where he dealt with reports, dashboards, Excel SQL refreshable reports and helped the Support Team with reporting queries.
Andrew has always enjoyed the customer satisfaction that comes with working in consultancy and knowing you’ve delivered what they wanted, how they wanted it.
Outside of work, our newest team member usually spends his free time with his family. You can find Andrew taking his eldest son to football or cricket, and his youngest son to either cricket or cubs. He also enjoys taking his dog to one of the local country parks for a long walk.
In the past, Andrew trained regularly in the gym and competed in strongman events! He still tries to train as often as possible.
On top of this, Andrew is a big fan of live music and has a eclectic taste in music. He enjoys anything from well-known bands to someone on a guitar in a pub. He said “If we ever share a car journey and it’s my playlist on you could be listening to anything from East 17, Aqua to Metallica or a live trance DJ set”.
A fun fact about Andrew is that he used to be on teletext most Saturdays (rugby related)!
In his new role at PKF SCS, Andrew is excited to collaborate with the team on reporting tasks, as this is something he enjoys about working as a Sage 200 Consultant. However, what he’s most looking forward to is reconnecting with a direct customer base.
