PKF Smith Cooper Systems Celebrates 10 Years with Donations to 10 Charities. 

Award-winning Sage Business Partner, PKF Smith Cooper Systems, donated £100 each to 10 different charities marking their 10-year anniversary celebrations.  

To commemorate 10 years in business, PKF Smith Cooper Systems organised various activities for staff, customers and suppliers. Celebrations began with gifts of appreciation for all long-standing staff members. Throughout October, the company hosted a staff celebration at Pride Park Stadium, distributed gifts to all employees, and other surprises for clients and suppliers. 

In November, PKF Smith Cooper Systems continued their celebrations with a charity donation. To donate to a wide variety of charities, the company randomly selected customers with a request to nominate a charity for the £100 donation. The charities nominated were Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, Children First Derby, Macular Society, The Skye High Foundation, Make a Wish Foundation, Petals Charity, and SIFA Fireside. In addition to this, the company have also supported the Movember campaigns of their staff members Garry Wallace, who is moving “60km this Movember for the 60 men lost each hour of every day” and Hiren Patel, who is “raising awareness about the importance of discussing health issues in all forms”. 

PKF Smith Cooper Systems is proud to support diverse causes and give back to the community. In recent years they have held food drives at their Derby and Newcastle offices to support Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance and Newcastle West End Foodbank as well as organising a monetary donation to Winchester Basics Food Bank. In 2023, they launched the “Spare A Chair” initiative, asking local businesses to donate the cost of one person’s seat at their Christmas party to a fund that supports local charities.

Managing Director, Chris Smith commented “We did our best to involve as many stakeholders as possible in our 10-year celebrations and thought charity donations, selected by our customers, was a great way to donate to wide spread of causes across multiple regions. Whilst I am acutely aware of widespread “virtue signalling” in the business world, fundamentally it’s nice to be nice and we were delighted to help the various charities put forward by our clients”
