Reminder: Sage 200 v2018 End of life

Important reminder: Sage 200 v2018 End of Life is January 30th, 2023

Every Autumn Sage places older versions of Sage 200 into ‘extended support’ and another version reaches ‘end of life’ status. This is something that is detailed in their support policy and is standard industry practice for various technology companies.

Currently, Sage 200 2018 is in ‘extended support’ status which means that Sage has withdrawn their support, updates and upgrades for this version of Sage 200. But as of 2023, the status of v2018 will change again and it will reach ‘end of life’.

What do I need to do?

As Sage 200 v2018 will no longer be supported after January 2023, it is important that you look to upgrade to the latest version of Sage 200 well in advance of this deadline. You should also consider any implications previously advised around Microsoft’s retirement of the TLS1 protocol.

If you are unsure of the version of Sage you currently have installed please contact our team and we will be happy to help. For information, if your last upgrade was to become compliant for MTD in 2018, it is very likely that your version will be due for an upgrade.

If you’re staying with Sage 200 Professional but would like to consider moving your software to the cloud, Sage has recently launched a new hosting option for Sage 200 Professional so that you are now able to host the solution in the cloud with Microsoft Azure.

Alternatively, you can look to migrate to Sage 200 Standard or Sage Intacct depending on your company requirements.
