Tip Of The Week: Restyling Sage CRM Icons

Redesign the icons in your Sage CRM to make them easier to understand

In this Tip of the Week Article, we take a look at how you can edit the icons on Sage CRM to improve your experience using the system.

In the 2023 release of Sage CRM, Sage introduced a new set of recognisable and consistent icons, a new font, and a new colour scheme improving the overall accessibility of the CRM system.

Whilst the update to Sage CRM has been a welcome addition to the product, some of our customers have reported difficulty in being able to quickly distinguish between the different icons, particularly in the ‘Quick Find’ search screen.

As the new icons are all in SVG format, you can now search for and use a free SVG file edit software to easily change the CRM icons to style them to your personal preference. This allows the various sections to be more distinguishable.

By default, the main entity icons are all displayed with the default green colour (as shown in the image to the left).

However, by using an SVG editor we can change the colours. For example, the ‘company’ logo can be changed to orange, or the ‘person’ logo can be edited to blue.

This enables each entity to stand out and allows the user to differentiate between entities, particularly when looking at the results of a Quick Find.

The new icon changes will also show on the entities ‘Summary’ section.
