Sage 200 Manufacturing Retirement: What You Need To Know

Important Information for users of the Sage 200 Manufacturing module

In November of 2020, Sage announced the decision to stop the sale of their own Sage 200 Manufacturing module, and the module has since operated in Extended Support.

Sage has now announced the formal end of life of the module and that they will be removing the Sage 200 Manufacturing functionality from Sage 200 completely, as the final step in their retirement of the module. Below, we will discuss what this means for your business and consider your options moving forward.

What does this mean?

While the module was in Extended Support, users could continue using the product, however, Sage stopped releasing legislative changes, patches and bug fixes for any defects that arose.

With the release of Sage 200 2025 R2 in October next year, Sage will remove all Sage 200 Manufacturing functionality from Sage 200. Additionally, they will end all support for the module from 31st December 2025.

To be clear, the module will not be removed or deleted from older versions, there simply will not be the option to continue using it once you decide to upgrade to V2025 R2 or beyond.

Key Dates for your Diary

• The module was withdrawn from sale effective 1st November 2020 and moved to Extended Support
• The Sage 200 Manufacturing code will be removed from Sage 200 from 2025 R2 (October 2025)
• The Extended support will end on the 31st December 2025 – please refer to Sage’s Support Policy
