Created by our in-house development team, both tools are based on a reliable and proven core platform, the difference lies in their distinct features appropriate for specific application areas. Since their creation, the PKF Smith Cooper Systems team have integrated Sage 200 with many different platforms and applications using MRGE and WIRE.

Is a Sage 200 API or integration right for you?
A Sage 200 API or integration is ideal for businesses that:

MRGE
MRGE is used where a third-party or in house developer wishes to perform the integration.
A typical example would be a web developer who wishes to post transactions to Sage 200 and pull back delivery or stock information or an in-house team wanting to integrate their own platforms to Sage 200.
In this instance, minimal time is required from our team. They’ll simply deploy the solution and assist with testing as required. This, along with one single monthly cost, provides a much lower price point of entry compared to traditional bespoke development.
WIRE
WIRE is used where there is no third-party developer working with our client.
In this case, the PKF Smith Cooper team will either deploy an existing connector or build out a new one.
Examples of work we have previously provided include Shopify, WooCommerce, eBay, Amazon, DPD, Metapack, and DX courier, plus several portals for well-known wholesalers.
WIRE can be configured without additional coding and runs on a pre-defined schedule to import and export data. This makes it easy to use straight out of the box.
