Sage CRM 2025 R1 is now available!

Sage is continuously bringing you new updates and enhancements to ensure you’re getting the most out of your Sage software. These updates are designed to make your experience with Sage CRM more efficient, secure, and user-friendly.

The first Sage CRM release of 2025 is here and in this article, we explore the key announcements you should know about.

What’s New?

Usability Enhancements

Sage has introduced several usability improvements in this release, all aimed at making your CRM experience more intuitive and efficient. One of the key features is the Modernisation of Exchange Online Integration, replacing Microsoft’s legacy Application Impersonation role with OAuth 2.0 and the Microsoft Graph API.

In addition, Sage have taken your feedback into account and addressed over 30 customer-reported issues, including:

• Calendar display bugs
• File attachment syntax errors
• Mail merge failures due to special characters
• Multiple synchronisation bugs in Exchange integration (e.g. time mismatches, token expiry)
• Security updates, including SQL injection and Tomcat CVE’s

General Admin Improvements

This release brings a number of enhancements to admin experience. The user interface has been refreshed, helping you navigate your CRM system even better than before. The menu layout is now simpler and cleaner and the icons have been updated, making it easier for you to find what you need.

Furthermore, the ‘Import Emails’ button has moved from the ‘Summary’ tab and is now located in the ‘Communications’ tab.

Another general admin improvement is improved data clarity for siblings. Sage CRM now shows a more logical display of sibling entity relationships with identical names, streamlining record management.

Security Enhancements

Sage is continuously improving their security measures across their solutions to ensure your information is secure. In R1, CRM now has even stronger security measures, with security hardening across services. This enhancements aims to further reduce the risk of vulnerabilities and to support compliance.
