Sage Intacct 2025 R2 Highlights
The latest quarterly release, Sage Intacct 2025 R2, officially launched on Friday 9th May. This update is packed with enhancements designed to make your experience smoother and meet a variety of needs.
From enhanced lists to a brand-new import service, here’s a quick tour of the standout updates we think you’ll love!
Reimagined Import Service
The new import service gives you full control and visibility over your data imports – no more waiting for error reports and hoping for the best!
This is currently available for select import types via the Company Setup Checklist.

Key features:
- Import from multiple tabs, use formulas and add columns
- View and correct errors in real-time before finalising your import
- Use filters and find/replace to identify and correct errors
Important Notification!
If you send emails from Sage Intacct using a custom domain, make sure to authenticate and validate your domain by the end of May 2025. This protects your domain and ensures emails land safely in recipients’ inboxes.
Transferring Assets Between Entities
Building on previous updates, you can now transfer assets between entities that share the same base currency. This automatically creates inter-entity transfer journal entries, keeping your General Ledger and Fixed Assets Management in sync.
The update also includes a new transfer details page and the ability to easily revert transfers directly within Fixed Assets Management.

Affiliate Entity Dimension
For those with a Consolidation subscription, you’ll have access to a new standard dimension – affiliate entity. This helps you track which entity is affiliated with a transaction, making inter-entity reporting easier.
When enabled, the dimension is automatically applied to inter-entity journal entries and can be manually added to General Ledger entries.

New Depreciation Methods
Two new declining balance depreciation methods allow you to customise the depreciation rate applied to assets. You can select a rate anywhere between 1.00% and 100.00%, giving you more flexibility when managing your assets.
- Custom declining balance with true-up (CDBT) – remaining depreciation is applied in the final period.
- Custom declining balance without true-up (CDB) – spreads depreciation evenly across the asset’s life, with any remaining treated as a loss upon disposal.

Construction Module
A few enhancements have been made to the Construction module, including:
- Faster contract set up: When duplicating a project contract, you can now opt to retain task mapping for time and material lines.
- Improved compliance management: Smart events and smart rules are now supported on compliance records.
- Lien waivers: Automatically generate lien waivers for secondary suppliers on AP invoices, payments and joint cheques.
- Primary document details tab: Quickly view and edit purchase orders and invoice details.

Other Updates
- Salesforce: The advanced CRM integration now automatically records transactions from Salesforce in Sage Intacct to support a complete quote-to-cash workflow.
- Reporting recommendations: The Financial Report Writer can now recommend ways to optimise your reports.
- Enhanced lists: Over 300 lists now have an enhanced option, offering advanced filters, custom list views, side-by-side comparisons and more.
- Improved platform triggers for POST requests: New HTTP POST trigger pushes data to external servers automatically via webhooks.
Coming Soon
These enhancements are currently being tested by a small group of users as part of the Early Adopter Program. We should hopefully see them become generally available in future releases.
AP Automation with Purchasing Update – Early Adopter
Soon you’ll be able to automatically create draft transactions without needing a source match. For example, Purchase Invoices that don’t start with purchase orders.
Copilot Subledger Reconciliation Assistant – Early Adopter
Building on the Copilot features, the subledger reconciliation assistant will automatically scan entries for variances, identify possible reasons for variances and generate a Subledger Reconciliation report for you.
