Sage Intacct 2025 R1 New Release Information

Sage Intacct 2025 R1 is here and here’s everything you need to know!

Sage is continuously bringing you new updates and enhancements to ensure you get the most out of your Sage software. They have recently announced the first Sage Intacct release of 2025 and in this article we review the key updates made.

Sage Copilot

Sage Copilot is your dedicated AI productivity assistant for Sage Intacct. In R1, Sage have announced Copilot Close Assistant, Variance Analysis and Search Help.

• Close Assistant aims to reduce uncertainty related to the close process, and reduce unnecessary delays to end-of-period reports and insights.
• Copliot Variance Analysis provides insights into budgets, as well as sends alerts when your actual spending exceeds your budget.
• Search Help provides you with direct, conversational answers to product or help related questions. The AI assistant understands the nuances of Sage Intacct terminology and can interpret queries, in order to provide more accurate and relevant results.

AI-Powered Automation

AP Automation with Purchasing is now available. This extension to AP Automation means you can now automate draft transactions for incoming Purchase Invoices and match them to Purchase Orders, for faster, more accurate processing and streamlined workflows.

Enhanced Purchase Order Approval Delegation

As a result of customer feedback, you can now streamline PO approvals with flexible delegation options. You can allow restricted users to be assigned as delegates, and enable user groups to be selected as approvers. With more flexible options to streamline the approval process, this can enhance efficiency for your business. Your team members can now confidently enjoy their holiday time knowing that incoming purchase requests will not be held up when they’re away.

Company and Administration

You can now authenticate and validate your custom email domain. By authenticating your custom domain before May 2025, you can ensure your email communications are delivered securely and reliably. Additionally, this improves email deliverability by reducing the chances of your messages being marked as spam and not reaching.

There have also been enhancements to the setup wizard, allowing a smoother process when creating companies.

Accounts Payable

Alongside AP Automation with Purchasing (mentioned earlier), there is also a new AP purchase invoice approval rule, which allows you to assign a specific approver to each supplier with supplier-based approval.

Cash Management

Enhancements have been made to currency support for funds transfers. You can now transfer across to 3 unique currencies without the need for manual journal entry, saving you valuable time, as Sage Intacct calculates the exchanges rates automatically for you.

Industry Insights

Streamlined project and grant records now provide faster, more focused insight on billings and resource price information. Additionally, you are able to easily assemble project and grant attachments to share with customers or grant funding sources, with one-click downloads.

There are also Construction Compliance and Billing enhancements which have been added to Sage Intacct.

• Construction Compliance Enhancements: You can simplify compliance tracking with expanded supplier and custom field options.
• Construction Billing Enhancements: You can now streamline billing transparency. View and create reports with dimensions from expenses, customize the summary billing grid, and download attachments for expenses from an AR sales invoice.

Expanded Consolidation Eliminations

With this enhancement, you can automatically eliminate inter-entity activity during consolidation. Enhance your reporting with the new affiliate dimension, which now tracks automated inter-entity entries for investment and equity activity. This improves accuracy while also reducing the time required to close.

User Interface – New Lists

Enhancements have been made to the User Interface to help you improve workflows and manage your tasks more efficiently. There is greater options for customisation, so there are smart column filters and enhanced filtering options, allowing you to quickly locate necessary information. What’s more, you can easily return to your previous location, retracing your steps without resetting to the default page.
