The PKF Smith Cooper Systems Sage Migration Process is simple: plan, implement, test, deploy, support.
Planning Phase
Essential to establish timings, responsibilities, key areas for focus, data requirements and to ultimately produce a plan for all parties to work with.
Implementation, Training and Testing Phase
This phase is all about the people, yours and ours.
A new system can cause concern and uncertainty for your staff. So, we run thorough tests and training with your staff to ensure a successful implementation.
We also take this opportunity to foster an environment where your users are comfortable and confident in working alongside our consultancy team and support desk.
Deployment Phase
During the deployment, or ‘Go Live’, our consultants are onsite for the physical live migration and then on hand to help users for the first few days of use.
Support Phase
Finally, it’s over to our award-winning support team. After ‘Go Live’, you get access to our full team of highly-skilled support consultants – with technical knowledge and experience of Sage 200 and Sage Intacct to approved third-party systems, like Sicon and Draycir, you are in the best hands.

How long does it take to migrate to Sage?
The amount of time it takes to migrate to Sage depends on what products you’re migrating to and from and how much system configuration and development work is needed. To get an idea of how long it might take, contact us and we’ll get back to you with estimated timescales.

What does the Sage migration process look like?
We keep the process of migrating to Sage simple:
- Plan: We meet with you to establish your requirements and define key milestones and responsibilities, so you know what to expect throughout.
- Implement: Our technical team will build the system according to our agreed plans, including any custom configuration, integrations or additional modules.
- Deploy: Following successful training and testing, we’ll securely migrate your data to your new Sage solution and prepare to go live.
- Support: Once live, you’ll be handed over to your Account Manager and our in-house support team for any queries you have going forward.

How easy it is to migrate to Sage?
