Learn how to customise module colours in Sage 200
It’s common for Sage 200 users to occasionally mix up Purchase Orders and Sales Orders, especially when working quickly. So, to make things clearer and reduce errors, Sage has introduced a helpful new feature in Sage 200 2025 R2 and later versions.
You can now customise module colours in Sage 200, making it easier for you to differentiate between different areas of the system. This simple functionality helps ensure you’re working in the right place.
In this week’s tip, we’ll walk you through how to change module colours in both Sage 200 Professional and Sage 200 Standard Online.

How to change module colours in Sage 200 Professional
To enable this functionality in Sage 200 Professional, go into Accounting System Manager > Settings > Maintain Module Colours.
Within this window, you can choose the specific modules you wish to set a colour for by ticking the module (for example, ‘Sales Ledger’) and clicking ‘Select Colour’.

Once you are happy with the colour selected, click ‘OK’. It’s important to note that this will apply that colour to the module for all users.

When you go into that specific module and select ‘New Account’, you will now see the border of the window is in the colour you selected, signifying you are in the correct place.

How to change module colours in Sage 200 Standard Online
If you are using Sage 200 Standard Online, you can access the functionality by going into Settings > Organisational and Financial > Maintain Module Colours.
Within this window, you can choose the specific modules you wish to set a colour for by ticking the module (for example, ‘Customers’) and clicking ‘Select Colour’.

Once you are happy with the colour selected, click ‘OK’. It’s important to note that this will apply that colour to the module for all users.

When you go into that specific module and select ‘New Account’, you will now see the border of the window is in the colour you selected, signifying you are in the correct place.
