Drilling Through Works Orders in Sicon Manufacturing

Discover how to use Sicon Manufacturing’s drill-through functionality in the Works Order screen

Sicon Manufacturing’s drill-through functionality gives you quick access to key information and various processing options within one place.

This helpful functionality allows you to quickly view component or finished item details without leaving the Works Order screen, helping you streamline your workflow and save time.

In this tip of the week, we’ll show you the drill-through functionality in the Works Order screen.

How to use the drill-through functionality

To use the drill-down functionality, right click on the stock item to view stock item balances, details, history and movements.

Right clicking a component also allows you to change the columns displayed on the works order. For example, you can show free stock and stock on order, units of measure and component costs.

To view alternate items set against the stock item, right click the stock item and hover over ‘Alternate Items‘.

Selecting the item replaces the component on the works order.

If the component selected is a batch or traceable item, right clicking it displays an option called ‘Allocated to Batches‘. This identifies the traceable items that have been used within the build.
