Sage Copilot AI Features
Sage Copilot is an in-platform AI assistant which is being developed by Sage to help you complete processes more efficiently.
In this week’s tip, we’ll show you 2 of the Copilot features currently available to Sage Intacct users: Search Help and Close Assistant.
Sage Copilot Search Help
Search Help is designed to answer any product and procedure related questions you have. Instead of having to navigate through Sage’s extensive library of help guides to find what you’re looking for, the AI technology finds the exact answer for you.
Not only is it faster, but all the answers are based on help guides written by Sage, so you can be assured that the information is accurate and relevant to the product you’re using.
Note: Sage Copilot is an LLM (Large Language Model) designed by Sage. It isn’t powered by any external AI platforms, such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot.
Where to Find Search Help
To access Search Help, click ‘Help & Support’ in the top right corner and then select ‘Search help’.
A window should open on the right side of the screen.

How to Use it
To get started, choose one of the suggested questions or type your own in the search box at the bottom. Like the suggestions, you can ask your question in a conversational style, and the AI is designed to understand your natural language and terminology.
In this example, we’ll type in “How to raise a credit note.”
Tip: Use the down arrow near the top right if you wish to minimise the Copilot window.
Question

Answer

Sage Copilot Close Assistant
Close Assistant is designed to help you stay organised and streamline your month end close process. At any time, you can get an overview of how your close is progressing, perform tasks and refresh to update your progress as you go.
Note: If you can’t see Copilot in your account, let us know and we’ll look into this for you.
Where to Find Close Assistant
Near the top right corner, click ‘Copilot’.
This will open a window on the right side of the screen.

How to Use it
To get started, click ‘Run close assistant’, select the period you’d like to close from the ‘Reporting period’ dropdown and click ‘OK’.

Here we have a summary of all our subledgers, and what stage they’re at in the close process.
Each of these options are hyperlinked and perform further actions or take you directly to the relevant screen in Sage Intacct.
We’ll show you 2 of these options: ‘Prepare AP reconciliation’ and ‘Close AP’.

Prepare AP Reconciliation
When you click ‘Prepare AP reconciliation’ Copilot asks if we’d like to apply any filters. Make your selection from the ‘Entity or entity group’ dropdown or click ‘Process without filters’.

Once Copilot has finished running the AP reconciliation report, the findings will appear in the ‘Insights’ section.
If you’d like to look into the results further, click ‘View more’.

Close AP
We’ll go back to the list of subledgers and click ‘Close AP’, which opens the Close AP subledger screen.
Select your details as needed to close the subledger.

In the Copilot window at the end of the Close Assistant summary, click ‘View Close Books Overview’ to see an overview of your close progress by entity.

What’s Coming Soon
Sage are working on adding more features to Sage Copilot, such as:
- Close Analytics: This will give you a full detailed breakdown of days to close, task bottlenecks and much more.
- Finance Intelligence Agent: A personal assistant that searches through your data to find answers to questions such as “List the top 5 suppliers with overdue invoices”.
These features are currently in the testing phase and should be available in future releases. In the meantime, if you have any questions about Sage Copilot, contact your Account Manager.
