Sicon MRP Future Stock Movements
The Future Stock Movements feature in MRP (Material and Resource Planning) assists with stock control and cash flow management by summarising all future stock movements and the effect it will have on your free stock levels.
It enables you to review what you have in hand, what will be used, when new stock can be expected and any future stock movements.
In this tip of the week, we’ll talk you through the Future Stock Movements feature.

Please note: Any demand where stock has been allocated, such as Sales Orders or Works Orders, won’t be displayed because this feature is only for free stock.
Navigate to Sicon Material and Resource Planning > Material Planning > Future Stock Movements.

This feature uses promised dates from the Sales Orders, Purchase Orders and Works Orders to forecast the effect on the current free stock level, which shows as a running accumulative balance on the form.
The reschedule date is provided for information purposes. The intention is that the user will update the dates on relevant Works Orders and Purchase Orders manually as needed.

To include suggestions from Material and Resource Planning, tick Include suggestions from last MRP run. Tick Show Preallocation Values, to show any preallocations for the stock items as required.
Use the Warehouses and Types filters to refine the data by warehouses or movement types.

Select an entry to view the stock item and order details in the panel on the right hand side.

Double clicking an entry displays the order without navigating away from the current screen.

Double click a Works Order to process it through to completion using the action buttons along the bottom.

Going back to the Future Stock Movements screen, at the bottom, you have 3 useful buttons: Amend Stock Item Details, Stock Item Balances and Monthly Trading Figures.
