Year-End Reports in Sage Intacct
Processing and storing your year-end reports is important to ensure you have the reports you need, and they’re safely stored if you ever need to refer back to them.
In this tip of the week, we’ll show you how to process and store different types of reports for year-end in Sage Intacct.
Types of Year-End Reports
There are 3 main types of reports in Sage Intacct: Financial Reports, Custom Reports and Standard Application Reports. You can also have reports which are created with add-ons or additional modules, such as Interactive Custom Report Writer (ICRW) and Velixo.
Let’s run through what you need to do for the main types of reports.
Financial Reports
- Ensure the reports are correct and reconciled to the standard General Ledger Trial Balance.
- If your reports are set specifically for a period or year, make sure the filters are updated correctly.
- Once reports have been updated and reconciled, you should process and store them so you can retain online copies for your records.
Custom Reports
- Allows you to do reporting on any other areas of the system outside of the General Ledger.
- Can be created to provide information that may be required by the finance team, such as audit reports and supporting documents for financial reports.
Standard Application Reports
- Many of these reports can be processed and stored for year-end purposes.
- For example: Supplier ageing report – summary and detailed and General Ledger transaction reports.
- Use the ‘Process and Store’ button to keep copies of reports.

Set the ‘Date to use’ field as your year-end date, select ‘GL posting date’ from the ‘Based on’ tick boxes and complete the rest of the details as you need.
Once you have filled in everything as you need, click ‘View’ to make sure you’re happy with how it looks and then click ‘Process & store’.

Complete the ‘Report name’ field and any other details, then click ‘OK’.
Like before, the report results will be stored in ‘My stored reports’.

Once the report has finished processing, it will be ready to view. You can export the reports in different formats from this page too.
To view the report, we’ll click the ‘HTML’ hyperlink for the ‘Supplier list 2019’ report.
Note: Processing may take a while depending on the size of the report.

Here, we can see the supplier list report in the browser.
Let’s close this tab and get back to the system.

Let’s look at another place where you can view your stored reports.
Navigate to:

Select the area of the system you’re looking for from the ‘All applications’ dropdown (such as General Ledger) and then click ‘View stored reports’.

How to Process and Store Custom Reports in Sage Intacct
The way you process and store custom reports is slightly different. Let’s walk through the process.
Navigate to:
Reports > All > Custom reports

Here we can see all the custom reports that I have access to.
Find a report in the list and click ‘Run’.

If you want to store the report, click ‘Process & store’.
Note: When you process and store these reports, they’re stored according to the ‘As of date’ you chose here, so that’s the date you’ll have stored for future reference.
