Sage SDMO Release 2023 R9: What You Need to Know

Sage regularly releases updates for its software. SDMO (formerly Sage Intacct Manufacturing) is no exception, with its latest release going live in early October 2023.

We’ve written this article to take you through the new and updated features you need to know about in this release.

Top Enhancements

Improve efficiency

• Real-time visibility of transactions from a BOM and Work Order
  • Use the Tracking tab in the Bill of Material (BOM) page to view a summary of the work orders created to build or maintain the BOM and any related material, production, or time tracking transactions.
  • The tracking block in the Work Order page also lets you view this.

• Easily reconcile and share data through Excel exports.
  • The following grid exports are now available:
    • BOM Components
    • Production Tracking
    • Material Tracking
    • Time Tracking

Stock information

• Improve stock allocation visibility and management with the new ‘Manage Allocation’ functionality
  • View previously allocated stock from other sales order and sales shipment lines (select ‘Manage Allocations’ from the More actions icon)
• Improve efficiency with mass allocation processes for Sales and Work orders
  • Use the Work Order mass allocation page or Sales Order mass allocation page to allocate and deallocate stock for groups of orders linked to a site.
• Improve efficiency with bulk Purchase Order printing
  • Select and print multiple records from the Purchase Order main list.

Processing accuracy of financial transaction and Intacct integration

• Improved processing accuracy with attribute and dimension controls for sales orders and sales shipments
  • If you try and enter a sales order/sales shipment line with missing attributes, dimensions or GL accounts, this is now blocked, and a warning will be displayed.
• Improved Intacct integration performance
  • The integration of large item data sets to Sage Intacct is now managed seperately.
