2024 – Upcoming Price Increases

Since the advent of subscription pricing, both in our business and personal lives, it has become normal for businesses to periodically increase pricing to reflect inflation and/or increased costs or an enhancement to the product provided.

Typically, these increases are not significant and are generally accepted as ‘the norm’. For this reason we have historically not formally communicated price increases to our clients unless we view them as ‘significant’.

However, in the last few months, we have received communication from Sage, Sicon and Draycir regarding price increases in the coming months which will affect almost all of our clients which we feel it is only professional to advise as early as possible.

Price Increase Details

From 1st February 2024, Sage 200 and Sage CRM rate plans will increase by approximately 7%. Sage Intacct rate plans increased by approximately 9% from 1st January (some exclusions apply, please speak to your account manager for more information). Changes will take effect on renewal invoices from 1st February 2024 or their next renewal term following that date. There are some exclusions which include Historical, Test and Recovery and SQL licences (pricing in this regard changed in November as previously advised).

Draycir has also announced a 5% price increase which will be in place from 1st April 2024. This will affect all pricing, including new sales, renewals and subscriptions.

Finally, Sicon announced that from 1st April 2024 they will be increasing their prices by approximately 7%. Like Draycir, this will apply to new sales, renewals and subscriptions (increase to apply after 12 months on previous pricing).

PKF Smith Cooper Support Pricing

The rate of inflation is currently sat at 4%. As you will recall, during 2022 the rate jumped to over 10% and at the start of 2023 sat at 10.5%. For this reason, and in the context of significant increases from our suppliers, we chose not to increase our support pricing in 2023 to assist our valued customers, even though this was well overdue.

We have not made a widespread increase on our support pricing for over 5 years and thus will be increasing our support pricing by approximately 5% from 1st April 2024 onwards. Again, some exclusions will apply, the main one being any client who has begun trading with us in the last rolling 12 months from April 23 to April 24.
