PKF Smith Cooper Systems Continues Growth With Five New Hires

PKF Smith Cooper Systems, an award-winning Sage business partner based in Derby, continued to grow its team over its third financial quarter with five new hires.

Sandra Wallace, Philippa Leonard, Will Carpenter, Gavin McFarlane, and Karol Kierzkowski will take up roles reaching across Client Services, Consultancy, Account Management, and Development.

Sandra Wallace joins PKF Smith Cooper Systems as its new Client Services Manager. She has a background in accountancy, and over 10 years working with Sage 200. This was both as a support person and as a training manager.

Philippa Leonard joined PKF Smith Cooper Systems as a Sage Intacct Consultant from another Sage Business Partner, where she was their Sage Intacct Account Manager & Technical Consultant. She became certified in Sage Intacct in May of 2020, and has also worked in various accounting roles. She will be assisting PKF Smith Cooper Systems’ own Intacct leader, Sam Pidgeon, in growing the company’s Sage Intacct practice.

Similarly, Will Carpenter comes to the company as its new Sage 200 Consultant. At his previous role, he was a key part of Xero’s Account Management team, working with smaller accounting and book-keeping firms across Central London.

Gavin McFarlane joins PKF Smith Cooper Systems as an Account Manager. His previous roles included working as an Account Manager and Business Development Manager within telecommunications, and nearly 10 years experience in recruitment.

Karol Kierzkowski is the team’s new Sage Developer. As a recent graduate of Sheffield Hallam University in Computer Science, Karol worked on Sage 200 development at another Sage Business Partner during his placement year, with involvement in testing, support, and installs.
