Many of you may not have interacted with any of these departments or you may have interacted with them all! Either way, this series is intended to introduce you to the people behind the titles and give you insight into the people who make up Team PKF SCS.
Today, we sit down with Andrea Markham. Andrea works as a Sage 200 Support Team Leader.

How did your journey start at PKF SCS?
I was made redundant in November of last year. Smith Cooper had an opening, and I had met Chris Smith and Richard Brewster at a Sicon Conference a few years before. They were at my table for the evening and I was their host. I had a phone interview with Chris and have not looked back since!
What does your job role involve and what duties does your team mainly cover?
My role involves helping to manage the day to day running of our helpdesk. I deal with our support inbox, distributing calls and helping the team with complex cases. Our team is the first contact for Sage issues. We are very tight-knit, and someone always knows the answer. It is nice getting to know customers, some I have known a long time through my last job.
Has working from home impacted your role in any way?
I have worked from home for several years, so I’m well used to it. I met everyone last year at the Christmas Party, which seemed strange after working with people for a year and not ever meeting them in person.
Have you always wanted to work in software, specifically within Sage?
Not always, but I never knew what I wanted to do when I left school, so I did a course in computers. I then accidentally got into this industry!
What has been the proudest moment you’ve experienced in your role?
I have so many – I think it has to be being promoted to team leader. I think what makes me proud is the team ethos we have and have built. I am proud every day to be part of this team.
