PKF Smith Cooper Systems, a Sage Business Partner with their head office in Derby, have sponsored an ice cream van to give out treats to Year 6 leavers from Walton Holymoorside Primary School in Chesterfield.

With budgets tied up in a new outdoor gym, the school’s Parent Staff Association (PSA) were unable to fund the ice cream van they wanted to accompany the annual trip to the park for Year 6 leavers.

PKF Smith Cooper Systems stepped in, sponsoring the ice cream van so that it could still turn up to treat the children. The company has a proud track record of helping the local community, including sponsoring Kegworth Imps Under-14s and supporting Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance’s Easter campaign.

The sponsorship was organized by Richard Brewster, the company’s Technical Director. He said:

“All 45 kids got their choice from the ice cream van on one of the hottest days of the year. It was great to see, especially after all the hard work they had put in regarding their SATS over the last year, and now onto their transition to secondary school.”
