Sage is constantly updating its software to make sure it gives customers what they want. With the release of Sage 200 2023 R1, we’ve been reviewing the changes you need to know about.

As with most Sage releases, this release introduces several new features that Sage’s customers have voted on within its Ideas Hub. Alongside this, there are significant improvements on some of Sage 200’s API endpoints and enhanced migration tools.


Top Enhancements

Import vatable journals
File structure contains 2 new columns: VAT type and VAT code. This simplifies your data importing, with less need for manual processing after import.

Supplier Alerts

This new version lets you set up alerts and define trigger conditions for Purchase workflow documents.
Take the hassle out of notifying your purchase department staff about important supplier details when processing purchase orders or returns.

Allocation dates for Sales Receipts/Payments and Purchase Receipts/Payments

There’s a new option for “use payment/receipt date”. Now, you can choose to use the payment/receipt date as the default allocation date, or the system’s date – helping to reduce manual errors.
