Sage are constantly reviewing their product offering and have recently been consulting widely on the “new” Sage 200 CRM connector. They have concluded that there are a number of functional gaps between the connector and the classic integration, which has meant that the connector doesn’t give the greatest degree of flexibility for customers, to help them to run their business.
After careful consideration and Business Partner feedback, Sage has identified the fact that customers want the same level of functionality and integration that the original integrated CRM already delivers, and have therefore taken the difficult decision to discontinue the maintenance of the “new” CRM connector, to enable them to focus on integration improvements. The key points around this decision are as follows :
- Effective from 01/10/2018 – Sage 200 CRM connector will enter extended support.
- To support those customers with a CRM connector, Sage is still looking to release the 4.3 version of the connector in September 2018.
- Sage will continue to support the connector and test the 4.3 build, for all releases up to and including 30 September 2019.
- In the meantime, Sage are investigating an appropriate method for migrating customers from the connector to the integrated version.
