What are my Sage Financials Migration options?

Sage stopped selling Sage Financials (formally known as Sage Live) in March 2019. This decision was based on the pending introduction of Intacct, to the UK in late 2019, as a more established cloud based financials solution for the upper mid market.

When Sage Financials was launched, there was much speculation as to whether this development would signal the beginning of the end of more traditional Sage offerings such as Sage 50 and Sage 200. The short answer is, it didn’t. Whilst Sage Financials was a brave development that opened up various new markets and opportunities for Sage partners, there are still lots of scenarios where the more traditional and established products are more appropriate than pure cloud offerings.

Many of our clients currently experience the best of both worlds by investing in established on premise software but deploying it in their own private cloud. Thus having the comfort of a tried and tested solution with fantastic local support, but still enjoying the benefits of ‘cloud’. You can find ouy about our Sage hosting options here.

Whilst Sage has stated that support for existing users of Sage Financials will continue in the short to medium term, users of this system will certainly need to be considering their options.

In the infographic we list the key differences and areas to consider when evaluating Sage Financials and Sage 200.
