It is unsurprising that in a climate like this searches for cloud-based software have increased exponentially.
Our latest research shows that Google searches for ‘Cloud Accounting’ and related queries have more than doubled since UK Lockdown begun in March 2020.
At the same time, searches around the topic of ‘home office equipment’ have also gone through the roof as small businesses have taken to working from home to keep them afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Take a look at some more of the key findings from the research below:
- Google searches for ‘small business cloud accounting’ showed the biggest increase from 2019, over quadrupling in volume in 2020
- Other popular searches that increased dramatically from March-August 2020 vs the same time period in 2019 were ‘cloud bookkeeping software’ & ‘cloud invoice software’ as professionals looked to keep on top of their finances, securely, from home
- Unsurprisingly, searches for ‘cheap home office setup’ were up 100% as businesses tried to make the quick transition to working remotely as cost effective as possible.
- Us Brits did shop around before purchasing though, searches for ‘best home office chair’ were up 83% and ‘best home office setup’ up to 86% as we looked for the best deals
