Many of you may not have interacted with any of these departments or you may have interacted with them all! Either way, this series is intended to introduce you to the people behind the titles and give you insight into the people who make up Team PKF SCS.
Today, we’re hearing from James Dee. He’s one of our Sage Support Consultants – and if you contact us, there’s a good chance you’ll speak to him!

How did your journey start at PKF SCS?
Before I joined PKF SCS I worked for 10 years at Sage, 5 years working on Sage 50 and then 5 years on Sage 200 support. I was very happy at Sage and had been approached by other Business Partners before, but after meeting Chris and hearing about the business I knew it would be the right next step for me.
What does your day-to-day job as a Sage Support Consultant entail?
I work on the support desk so my day to day job includes investigating issues that come through via our phone system and also email.
How did you find moving from Sage to PKF SCS? How are the companies different, or similar?
At first it was a very different environment, going from working in a large office to working with a few people or even working by myself in an office space – but the friendly and helpful people I work with helped me to settle in quickly.
What are the challenges that you’ve had to tackle over the last year in your role?
Getting used to investigating issues with different software such as Sicon and Draycir programs – but again, because we as a team are so helpful, I have been able to use the expertise of my colleagues to help with this.
What has been your proudest moment working for PKF SCS?
I think it’s seeing the team grow with new faces, and knowing they are coming to us as we have such a great working environment.
