Meet Team PKF SCS: Sage 200 Support Consultant

Support, Sales, Consultancy, Marketing and Development. These are more than just departments at PKF Smith Cooper Systems – they are teams of people that have brought the company to where it is today.

Many of you may not have interacted with any of these departments or you may have interacted with them all! Either way, this series is intended to introduce you to the people behind the titles and give you insight into the people who make up Team PKF SCS.

Today, we’re hearing from Sarah Ward. She’s one of our Sage 200 Support Consultants – and if you contact us, there’s a good chance you’ll speak to her!

How did your journey start at PKF SCS?

I worked for another business partner but my position wasn’t going in the direction I wanted so felt like it was time to move on. Prior to that I had been working in finance departments as an accounts / payroll person.

What has been your proudest moment working for PKF SCS?

Not sure there is one particular stand out moment as such – I feel that as it’s a very busy department, learning to manage your caseload every day along with being able to help others in the team while keeping the customer happy and resolving their issues is something to be proud of.

What’s your philosophy when it comes to working with customers?

Trying to understand what the problem is often the biggest factor in trying to resolve the issue, alongside getting logged on with the customer to go over the problem so you have a full understanding of what’s going on.

What goals are you looking forward to achieving in the next year?

Learning more about the Sicon add-ons.

How is working for PKF SCS different from other companies you’ve worked for?

There is a good team spirit and everyone is really helpful and friendly.
