Home | News & Updates | Company Latest | Sage 200 Extra Online Retirement: What You Need to Know

In order to keep its offering fresh and focused on what its customers need, Sage regularly rotates out older software.

Sage 200 Extra Online was fully retired on 30th September 2022.

We know users will have questions about the retirement of Sage 200 Extra Online, so we’re taking the time in this post to answer them.

Retirement Roadmap

Below is a basic timeline of the retirement roadmap and the meaning of each stage.

  • 31st August – customers with an active Sage 200 Extra Online site but no deletion date received an email. This gave a reminder of the retirement date and the importance of extracting data. It also mentioned a cancellation email, which customers receive once the site deletion date is set.
  • 1st September – all remaining sites had their cancellation date set as 01 October 2022. This triggered a cancellation email, with reminders of all the information they need.
  • 1st October – all sites will shut down and customers will lose access.

What are my options now?

There are many options to choose from to replace Sage 200 Extra Online, including Sage 200 Standard which comes with new web screens so you can automate and execute on the go using a browser of your choice. Alternatively, you can look into Sage 200 Professional, and Sage Intacct.
