Sage has announced that its promotion for customers on Sage 200 2021 R1 or higher to receive 5 free web users will end on 31st July.

What is this promotion about?
To help with delivering Web Screens, Sage introduced a promotion for customers on Sage 200 2021 R1 or higher to receive 5 free web users. This allowed customers access to use and review the Web Screens and get added value, whilst understanding the journey for the Sage 200 product modernisation.
What Changes Are Occurring and Why?
The additional user licences were automatically added as part of the promotion, will be removed in the same manner, effective from 1st August 2023.
How Will These Changes Affect Me? Do I Need to Do Anything?
As web users are named licences, you should make sure that in advance of the 5 free Web Users being removed, only the correct number of Web Users are selected within the software, to match your paid for Web User entitlement.
Not doing this could result in a reset of all Web Users, meaning they will need to be reselected to reactivate access.
A Note on Web Users
Currently, the new Web Screens are only accessible as a Web User. This means you will need to have both a desktop, and the option to be a web user, to gain access to the new Web Screens functionality.
Web Screen capabilities will be increased as part of the upcoming Sage 200 2023 R2 release. As part of their modernisation journey, Sage are also planning to adapt their approach to users as part of this release. We will of course, provide further information in this regard as we get it.
